Monday, 18 January Butterfly of the stars. Bernard Werber is one of my favourite french writers. I am not a fan of modern litterature but Bernard Werber is one of some exceptions. I love the way he sees and interprets things.

Feb 12, Joseph Kim rated it really liked it I really liked the book, but it was mostly due to the astounding end. Reading through the dragged on journey in space was not the most enjoyable of experiences. There was room for improvements as I am sure others would agree. I realize how tough it must have been trying to cover over a thousand years of time span in less than pages, but I just felt the story was really rushed at multiple points.
So much so that I almost quit reading! I felt the quick transitions and development a little bit I really liked the book, but it was mostly due to the astounding end. I felt the quick transitions and development a little bit unbearable.
But the author being Bernard, I decided to finish the book out of simple curiosity, and to put a quick end to this review I felt it was really worth the effort reading my way through the could-be-boring journey till the conclusion. Le papillon not only points out the defects of our society and the savagery of human nature, but also puts his readers into a mist of hope.
Bone-shakingly realistic, the book attemptted, and achieved, to explain our inevitable reality. Sep 05, Vera rated it really liked it I liked very much the phylosofical meaning of the story. It shows humanity in a different way and pleasantly surprises us near the end : Jun 21, Aleksandr D rated it it was ok Second star is for idea and few good phrases. It is fairy tale with poor technical details and lack of basic logic. The ending especially dialogue of survivors is dull.
It would be much more interesting to read more about the society evolution during thousands years than weird quarrels of modern family pair which is absolutely irrelevant to situation.
